Find a common denominator (LCM), convert both fractions, then add the numerators. 1/3 + 1/4 = 4/12 + 3/12 = 7/12.
Multiply numerators together and denominators together. (2/3) x (3/4) = 6/12 = 1/2.
Flip the second fraction and multiply. (2/3) / (4/5) = (2/3) x (5/4) = 10/12 = 5/6.
Find the GCD of numerator and denominator, then divide both. 12/18: GCD is 6, giving 2/3.
A whole number plus a fraction, like 2 and 3/4. Convert to improper fraction: (2x4+3)/4 = 11/4.
Least Common Multiple — the smallest number that is a multiple of both denominators. Used when adding or subtracting fractions.
Divide numerator by denominator. 3/4 = 0.75. Multiply by 100 for percentage: 75%.
